Mother's Day Pampering at Sammy Anne's - Whitley Bay

Ask any mum what they'd like for Mother's Day and more often than not it will be time to themselves. Nothing beats a bit of 'me time' and it is something most mums are terrible for prioritising. I was lucky enough to be invited along with my mum to Sammy Anne's in Whitley Bay to sample their Mother's Day special offer.

March Special Offer at Sammy Anne's | Holistic Therapy, Whitley Bay

First of all, what I love about Sammy Anne's is that they run a different special offer every month so there is ALWAYS something new to treat yourself with. Check out their Facebook page for news.

March Special Offer

Your March Special Treatment includes:- A full body massage using Camellia Oil, Lavendar, Patchouli, Rose and Ylang Ylang essential oils to give your skin a luxurious treat, then blackberry, rose petal and vanilla infuse water to finish.

The treatment started with a mini consultation and then I was left to snuggle under the cosy warm blankets. I loved all of the little details and touches such as a comfortable pillow for your face, flowers on the floor for you to look at rather than plain carpet and scented candles and lanterns plus background music. I really felt like a VIP and the whole experience felt like such a treat.

My mum and I had been booked in for the same treatment at the same time and were taken to different rooms with different therapists. I liked this as there was no awkward hanging around waiting for the other one to finish. The treatment costs just £37 per person and lasts 60 minutes.  I would highly recommend as a Mother-Daughter treat. Why not make a day of it and book into my new favourite restaurant Hinnies for lunch afterwards. You can buy this treatment as a gift voucher too but it does have to be used in March.

Back to the treatment........

The treatment started with the most fabulous back massage including hot towels which was oh so relaxing! I was then treated to a leg and foot massage and may or may not have started drifting off at this point. My favourite part of the treatment however was when was asked to turn over and given a calming eye mask to wear as I was given a neck and shoulder massage - I could honestly feel my tensions just drift away.

Treatment Benefits

Camellia oil is a fast absorbing moisturiser that does not block pores. It nourishes, restores and softens skin and I as I am typing this 48 hours after my treatment I can still feel the benefits - my skin feels wonderful!

Lavender oil can improve circulation and help with sleep (amongst other benefits) and Ylang Ylang can help reduce stress - could there be any better combination of oils for busy mums?

My treatment lasted for an hour but in all honesty it seemed a lot longer - it was very good value and it definitely left me feeling a lot more relaxed.

Balckberry, Rose Petal and Vanilla infused water from Sammy Anne's in Whitley Bay

My treatment ended with a cool glass of blackberry, rose petal and vanilla infused water which was the perfect way to end. I was recommended to drink lots of water in the next 24 hours to stay hydrated and avoid alcohol if possible.

I left Sammy Anne's feeling truly spoilt - as did my mum. We both agreed that we need to take more time out together and do this again soon.

  1. That sounds amazing my last massage was in a freezing room with barely enough covering and no low light so it really put me off! It's lovely that you got quality mum time x
