Win a £50 voucher to spend at The Gallery Whitley Bay

The Gallery can be found in Papercuts in Roxburgh House in the seaside town of Whitley Bay on the stunning North East Coast ( NE26 1DS ) and is your one stop shop to support local crafters and artists this Christmas. With over 30 crafters and artists under one roof - all from the local area, there really is something for all tastes and budgets.

There is just SOOOOO much to choose from with items ranging from handmade jewellery to local art and photography, beautiful scarves to homemade chutneys and baby wear to bookmarks. The Gallery is proud to support artists and businesses including Art by Rebecca Vose, Places in Pictures, Tori Lo design, Jolly's bubbles and many more.

This is just a tiny selection of what is available at The Gallery but here are a few of my favourite pieces to give you an idea of the gorgeous gifts that are ready to buy:-

As I have said before I think it's really important to support businesses local to you and your local community, before you head to a high street retailer this Christmas to buy a gift set that will probably stay in the cupboard, I urge you to visit The Gallery first where I am sure you will find the perfect gifts for the whole family that will be appreciated far more.

The Gallery is open Monday-Saturday 10:30-17:00 or you can check out their Late night shopping event on 4th December which coincides with the Whitley Bay lantern parade. Make sure you follow the gallery on facebook to keep up to date with new items, suppliers and events.

I don't think you need anymore reasons to shop local, but when you do you :-
*Invest in entrepreneurship
*Support local jobs
*Keep more money in the local economy
*Support local people you know rather than large faceless corporations

You can make a difference.
