Win two tickets to an evening with Jodi Picoult

The national centre for children's books - Seven Stories,  is a definite favourite of ours and somewhere I always recommend to people visiting our city. They are currently closed for refurbishment and will re-open on 19th July but fear not, the magic of Seven Stories is on the move with a series of events at various venues in the coming months.

At Seven Stories last year

An event that really caught my eye was An evening with Jodi Picoult and Samantha Van Leer at the Tyneside cinema on 3rd June (6pm-8pm). Click here for tickets but be super quick as these events sell out very quickly.

International best-selling author Jodi Picoult (My Sister's Keeper, Nineteen minutes and The Pact) has teamed up with her daughter Samantha Van Leer to write their second young adult novel Off The Page.

This is YOUR ONLY chance to hear Jodi and Samantha speak outside of London. They will be discussing their critically acclaimed books, how they work together and answering questions from the audience. They will finish the evening with a book signing of two books - Off The Page and any other book from their back catalogue (there will be a pop-up book shop at the event too).

This event is suitable for ages 12+. Tickets cost £20 for two people including a copy of the book. The Tyneside cinema is a lovely venue and I think this event would make a nice alternative to a girls night out or a low key mother-daughter night out. You can find out more about the book and event here.

Competition

We are teaming up with Seven Stories who are providing one winner with:-
  • Two tickets to the Jodi Picoult & Samantha Van Leer event at The Tyneside cimena, Newcastle at 6pm on 3rd June
  • A copy of Off The Page which can be signed by the authors on the night

T&C's - There is no cash alternative, winners must be available to collect their prize from The Tyneside Cinema on the evening of the event or will forfeit their prize. A random winner will be selected and notified by email before midnight on 30th May.

  1. I love Jodi Picoult. Nineteen Minutes and Plain Truth are two of the most moving yet brilliant books I have ever read. Thanks for posting about the event as, if I hadn't have spotted your blog, I wouldn't have known about the event! Also I did my year 10 work experience at Seven Stories (a few years ago now!) but I love it in there!
